This 7 night, fully customizible, Okavango Delta photo safari can be booked with or without a professional wildlife photographer guide.
Situated in the northwestern corner of Botswana, the Okavango Delta is a World Heritage Site as it is the largest inland delta in the world. The magnificent Okavango River sprawls out over the dry sands of the Kalahari Desert forming this flourishing waterlogged oasis featuring countless meandering waterways and crystal clear lagoons studded with water lilies, as well as fertile floodplains and reeded islands inhabited with abundant wildlife.
Tubu Tree Camp
From its location on the western side of remote Hunda Island, Tubu Tree has easy access to a diverse range of habitats. Day and night game drives explore productive mopane and acacia woodlands, with Tubu Tree being well known for its leopard sightings.
Chitabe Camp
Chitabe’s location places it at the heart of a complex and beautiful mosaic of habitats, and this diversity results in wildlife experiences few other locations can match.
Excellent photo opportunities await you in Hwange and Mana Pools National Parks. Hwange offers spectacular wildlife scenes during the dry winter months, but equally amazing in the Green Season. In Mana Pools, you will have the freedom to walk and lie on the ground to get those amazing low angle shots.
Linkwasha Camp
Linkwasha is a luxurious camp that lies in a private concession in the enormously productive south-eastern corner of Hwange National Park.
Chikwenya Camp
Chikwenya overlooks a beautiful stretch of the Zambezi River in the eastern section of Mana Pools National Park, one of the most remote and beautiful areas in Zimbabwe.
Max 3 guests per vehicle and safari activities can be booked with a professional wildlife photographer and/or a professional safari guide.
Masai Mara National Park and Reserve
The park protects a phenomenal array of game, including charismatic species such as elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo, as well as crocodile and hippopotamus in the Mara River. The birdlife is no less impressive, with over 450 resident bird species. However, the true highlight here is the Great Migration, recognised as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World. To survive the dry months of July to September, some 1.7 million wildebeest, migrate from the parched plains of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Large prides of lions, herds of elephants, as well as giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve.
This 9 night itinerary puts you in the front row of some of the best action in the Mara, just begging to be captured on camera.
