The lodges chosen for this 10 night itinerary are located in some of Botswana's iconic regions. This itinerary offers a taste of the extraordinary Chobe region merged with a classic Okavango Delta experience with seasonal delta floodplains and the drier bush-land of the Okavango wilderness coming to a finale in the breathtaking Kalahari Desert, all of which are inhabited by abundant wildlife.
The areas represented in this 10 night itinerary, with the exception of the Kalahari, are at their peak for game-viewing during the middle and later parts of the dry season (July - October), when vegetation is sparse making sightings easier and the Delta experiences a strong and reliable flood, creating a beautiful network of floodplains for water-based safari activities. The Kalahari region enjoys sightings of specialist desert animals from May - November, while the best game-viewing for migratory species is in the wet season from December - April.
Safari activities in this itinerary are focused on mokoro canoe safari, motorboat safari, vehicle safari and guided bush walks.
• Day-trip to Victoria Falls available from Chobe
• Extensive floodplains at Moremi Crossing, Gunn's Camp and Pom Pom Camp from July - October
• Beautiful riverside lodge locations, with the exception of Tau Camp which overlooks Tau Pan
• Locally owned properties
• Minimum child age is 12 years, no minimum for whole camp bookings
• As most of the camps are run on 24 hr solar power, therefore high-powered items such as hair-dryers cannot be used. Charging for electronic equipment is available centrally
• Internet access is only available at the lodges in Chobe, allowing guests to be fully present in the beauty which surrounds them
• There is air conditioning available at the lodges in Chobe, however none at the other lodges but the safari tents are spacious and very well ventilated
