Chitabe Lediba is found in the Chitabe Concession, which neighbours the Moremi Game Reserve in the south-east of the Okavango Delta. The mix of Okavango and Kalahari makes for an excellent home for an abundant array of herbivores: giraffe, buffalo, red lechwe, tsessebe, impala and elephant, which in turn support the larger predators: lion, leopard, spotted hyaena, cheetah and wild dog.
Chitabe Lediba is smaller than its sister, Chitabe, and is ideal for small groups or families. Its commitment and purposes include a variety of projects ranging from research and monitoring programmes to education and social upliftment. It supports a variety of projects both financially and logistically.
The fully inclusive rates are not just about the level of accommodation or the thread count of the linen. They encompass elements that cannot be counted or measured, such as exclusive access to vast tracts of Africa’s best wildlife areas, creating a unique sense of seclusion, comfort, privacy and space. In turn, your presence helps in the conservation of all these iconic areas. Our dedicated team look forward to designing a journey that suits your budget and bucket list desires.

• Day and night drives in open 4x4 Land Rovers each accommodating a maximum of 7 guests, allowing each guest an outside seat

• Birding is outstanding at Chitabe Camp and it is an internationally recognised Important Bird Area (IBA)
• Scenic helicopter flights, offering a birds-eye view of the ecosystem and an insight into its formation, are also available and range from 30 to 60 minutes. This is an optional activity at additional costs which can be settled directly in camp
The camp also offers their guests bean bags to steady their camera while on a game activity. Hot water bottles (during winter months and on early morning game drives only), blankets and lined ponchos are also provided on game drives.
Chitabe Lediba is located in the Chitabe Concession, which covers 22 000 hectares of pristine Okavango Delta wilderness. This unique area harbours a massive variety of habitats within close proximity giving rise to a surprising diversity of species. The mix of Okavango and Kalahari makes for an excellent home for an abundant array of herbivores: giraffe, buffalo, red lechwe, tsessebe, impala and elephant, which in turn support the larger predators: lion, leopard, spotted hyena, cheetah and wild dog.
The Chitabe Concession’s total bird population is estimated at 345 species, comprising both resident and migratory birds, and varying throughout the year, depending on water levels and season. Raptors are abundant here and include African hawk eagle and hooded vulture, which often nests on the island or seen following packs of African wild dog in search of any scraps after a kill.
• The 28,000 hectare (69,000 acre) Chitabe Concession, situated in the south-east of the Okavango Delta, is separated from the well-known Moremi Game Reserve by the Gomoti Channel. The diversity and mix of Okavango and Kalahari habitats makes Chitabe unique and allows good concentrations of all the larger predators as well as herbivores.
