Located on Hunda Island, Tubu Tree has easy access to a diverse range of habitats. Day and night game drives explore productive mopane and acacia woodlands, with Tubu Tree being well known for its leopard sightings. Wildlife movements vary with seasonal water levels, meaning that no two Tubu experiences are ever the same - but all are equally wonderful. Hunda Island is known for its concentrations of game and offers both spectacular wildlife viewing on land, and tranquil adventures on the water. This combination of activities makes Tubu a complete Delta adventure.
The camp is built in traditional style, with elevated wooden walkways connecting eight tents on raised platforms - each with picturesque lookouts of the surrounding floodplains from a private deck. As a camp dedicated to the sustainability of conservation and community, Tubu Tree is intimately involved in projects that support these principles.
The fully inclusive rates are not just about the level of accommodation or the thread count of the linen. They encompass elements that cannot be counted or measured, such as exclusive access to vast tracts of Africa’s best wildlife areas, creating a unique sense of seclusion, comfort, privacy and space. In turn, your presence helps in the conservation of all these iconic areas. Our dedicated team look forward to designing a journey that suits your budget and bucket list desires.
